If you skate anywhere in Mercer County or Spain you probably have seen our good friend and life long ripper Marcus Waldron. Currently he’s posted up in Madrid skating for Old Skul Skateshop and teaching those Spaniards how to skate American. Anyways somehow this guy ended up in a shoot for a Dutch fashion mag, to which my response was, “Holy Sh*t.”

Tall, Dark, and Handsome
It’s always cool to see your homies get some recognition even if its in something as weird as a dutch fashion mag. Marcus is someone who’s got a never ending love affair with skating and all y’all should keep an eye on this kid. I predict good things. Rumors of going Am perhaps?

Today, Beastie Boy Adam Yauch announced he has cancer in his throat through a home video alongside band mate Adam Horovitz. The tone of the video varied from serious to humorous throughout, showing their optimistic outlook on the situation.
Due to this, they are canceling some of their upcoming shows (they are currently on tour) including their stop at Austin City Limits. Of course his health is of great importance, but this is a big hit to the thousands of fans anticipating their show. Believe Me

Decked wants to kick the summer off with some of the most radical, gnarly, tubular, and well….radical skate films ever created. No not fully flared stupid, this is the pinn
acle of skate “cinema”, those dope films from the 80’s and 90’s which happened to have some dudes skating in them. We’re gonna kick it off with the classic Gleaming the Cube, guaranteed to make you laugh, cry, hug your skateboard, and gasp in terror. Bring a fold up chair, a blanket, and your board and come for the free movie and some barbeque. Slight change of venue. This thing is now dropping at the Hopewell Train Station. S’gonna be dope.

Hello dear readers. I have just returned from a relaxing weekend up in Slamherst, Massachusetts filled with partying, swimming in various bodies of water, and napping with a small kitten. Needless to say it was quite enjoyable. Saw a few local skateheads up there, shout out to Russian Bob, Smellson, Anfernee, Kozo, and Nobo. Also shoutout to the lovely ladies + John of Pelham Road who took me under their roof.

Besides that this video is choc full of no name European skate boarders who probably skate better then your favorite pro. Watch it.

Not an actual picture of the offenders but you get the idea.
Two dudes came in here today and “borrowed” the store copy of Zoo York State of Mind. I know who you dudes are and I’m gonna give you guys the opportunity to return the video. If I don’t see it back consider yourselves banned. Effing hamburglers man. Stealing community skate videos. Shame shame.

The one that started it all. Symmetrical shape and stance for a balanced center of gravity to increase the ability to weight the deck through turns for better control and energy generation. The sidecuts allow for decreased torsional stiffness between the feet to exploit the board’s torsional energy to allow for greater nuances in the turning radius.
Epoxy and Tri-axle fiberglass sandwich a vert-lam Bamboo core, pressed into concave and convex cambers for liveliness, responsiveness and high energy potential.
The Vanguard graphic was originally designed by Alex Liki of Sao Paulo, Brazil for the Vanguard Graphic Contest. The graphic was reworked into it’s current form by Pablo and Diana ofNana Studio.
We feel that this graphic reflects the fluid experience of the board, while referencing the original Vanguard graphic designed by Travis Parr.
We’ve also got a couple Dervishes— check out their site. www.loadedboards.com.

Come and get ‘em –Where The Wild Things Are limited release skateboards now available at DKD! Check these out…
The film concerns the imaginary adventures of a young boy named Max, who is angry when his mother, Connie, invites her boyfriend over. After causing one mischievous antic after another, he is sent to his room without supper. Feeling angry and unloved, he then creates a forest bordering a massive ocean, and sails away to an island inhabited by many imaginary monsters called the Wild Things, who crown him as their ruler.
There’s probably a lot of Max in all of us, and who doesn’t need to escape sometimes. That’s why there’s skateboarding. Be like Max.
Keep pushin. Keep dreamin.
Peace,
DecKeD

Where the Wild Things Are is an upcoming film adaptation of the Maurice Sendak 1963 children's book of the same name. The film is directed by Spike Jonze and written by Jonze and Dave Eggers, who both rock. Dream team making a movie about dreaming.
